Overview

We are seeking a skilled Journeyman Glazier to lead or team as a Foreman. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years experience in working with storefront and curtain wall, building membranes, caulking and handling glass. Our focus is on commercial stick built curtain wall.

Duties

Fabricate or assemble frames on site Install frames, glass, membranes and flashings on site Read drawings and layout materials on site Work with and train apprentices on how to perform tasks correctly Ensure work is complete to industry and company standards, and identify and correct deficient work. Assign daily tasks to Journeymen and Apprentices Manage workflow to complete projects on schedule Coordinate with office staff Work safely and follow site and company rules Ensure safety paperwork is filled out as required - both for yourself and site tool boxes, but also ensure individuals on your site are getting their paperwork completed Operate aerial lift equipment safely and responsibly

Qualifications

English 4-5+ years of Glazing experience is required A red seal certification is an asset but not a must Ability to read shop drawings is required. A drivers license is a must
Wage is dependent on education and experience.

Our projects are within the GVRD. Some jobs will require you to start at our shop in Surrey.
