Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the construction process by providing accurate estimates for projects, ensuring that all costs are accounted for and aligned with project budgets. This position requires strong analytical skills, excellent negotiation abilities, and a solid understanding of construction estimating practices.

Duties

Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects. Analyze blueprints and project specifications to determine project requirements and costs. Collaborate with project managers to develop comprehensive project budgets. Build and maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to negotiate pricing effectively. Review and assess bids from subcontractors, ensuring compliance with project specifications. Provide support during the bidding process by preparing bid documents and presentations. Monitor ongoing projects to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints and identify any discrepancies. Participate in project meetings to discuss progress, challenges, and potential solutions.

Requirements

Proven experience in construction estimating or a related field. Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and methods. Familiarity with Bluebeam for plan takeoffs and document management. Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy in work output. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines. A background in project management is a plus.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $50,000.00-$110,000.00 per year
