Position Overview:
The International Union of Painters and Allied Trades (IUPAT) District Council 17 is seeking experienced glaziers for a reputable signatory contractor in Winnipeg. The contractor has upcoming projects starting in 6 weeks and is looking to fill 5 positions. The work schedule will be Monday to Friday, with 8-hour shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
• Install and maintain glass, windows, mirrors, and other glazing materials.
• Ensure high standards of safety and quality throughout the workday.
• Operate required equipment and tools as needed.
• Work in collaboration with your team to meet project goals and deadlines.
• Follow all safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment.
Qualifications:
• Experience as a glazier; Journeyman preferred (JP).
• A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are preferred.
• Required certifications:
• Elevated Work Platform (EWP)
• Fall Protection
• WHMIS
• Training and certification for EWP, Fall Protection, and WHMIS will be provided to the right candidates.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and maintain a professional attitude.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
