Summary of work:
As glazier/flat glass technician, your role includes:
commercial and residential repairs and maintenance including doors, sealed units
equipment glass installation (for example: skidsteers, graders, combines and front-end loaders)
commercial aluminum installs for store front and small curtain-wall installation
in-shop (in our new, expanded service area) and onsite work
Tasks include, but are not limited to:
accurately measure, cut and install various types of flat glass and specialty glass including any related framing/mounting materials
review and interpret plans, blueprints or schematics related to glass installation
repairs and maintenance to existing windows and doors (in shop and on site)
finishing, trim work, sealing
adhere to all workplace health and safety standards
Physical demands include:
manual handling of materials
walking, climbing and repetitive motions
standing
bending and twisting of the body
The workplace & work environment:
standard safety equipment is required
indoors, environmentally controlled
outdoors, exposure to weather (including rain, snow, etc.)
operation of a vehicle (pickup truck, commercial van, box van)
exposure to sound and noise
exposure to chemical substances (sealants, cleaners, etc.)
