Overview

We are seeking a skilled Glazier to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and replacing glass in various structures, including residential and commercial buildings. A strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship are essential for success in this role.

Duties

Install glass in windows, doors, skylights, showers, mirrors and other structures according to specifications. Measure glass to fit specific dimensions using appropriate tools and techniques. Apply sealants and adhesives to ensure proper insulation and weatherproofing. Repair or replace broken glass in existing installations. Collaborate other tradespeople to coordinate work schedules and project timelines. Read and interpret blueprints to understand project is an asset. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols and guidelines.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Glazier or in a similar role within the construction industry. Ability to lift heavy materials and work at heights safely. Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship. Proficient in blueprint reading and understanding technical drawings is an asset. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues as they arise. Good communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and clients. Work permit required. Fluent in English and BC Driving licence Own vehicle and tools are assets.
