Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Glass Installer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, replacing, and repairing glass in various settings, ensuring safety, precision, and quality workmanship. This role requires a strong understanding of construction practices and the ability to work with various tools and materials to deliver exceptional results on every project.

Duties

Measure and cut glass according to project specifications using hand tools and schematics Install glass panels in windows, doors, storefronts, and other structures with precision Read blueprints and schematics to determine the correct placement and specifications for glass installation Use caulking and sealing techniques to ensure weatherproofing and insulation standards are met Remove old or damaged glass safely and prepare surfaces for new installations Assist with restoration projects involving glass components in historic or damaged structures Collaborate with team members on construction sites to coordinate tasks efficiently Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of debris properly

Requirements

Proven experience with hand tools, caulking, blueprint reading, schematics, and construction techniques Knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, welding, flooring installation, tile laying, and construction painting is a plus Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics accurately Strong understanding of safety protocols related to glass handling and installation Excellent attention to detail and manual dexterity for precise work Physical ability to lift heavy materials and work at heights or in confined spaces as needed Prior experience in restoration or construction projects involving glass is preferred Mandarin and English preferred
