Are you a motivated accounting professional with advanced Excel skills, on the path to obtaining your CPA designation, and 1-2 years of relevant experience? The GL Accountant is a contract opportunity located in downtown Toronto, Ontario (hybrid). Please apply today for immediate consideration.Key Responsibilities:

• Billing & Accounts Receivables: Manage billings, verify payment and invoice information, process incoming payments, and reconcile accounts receivables.
• Revenue & Commission: Generate and process commissions. Collaborate with internal teams to verify fee structures and confirm monthly terms are accurate and up-to-date.
• Accounting & Reporting: Perform balance sheet reconciliations and prepare journal entries. Create monthly reports focused on delinquent accounts, exceptions, contingent liabilities, and aging accounts receivable.
• Expense Management: Process employee expense reports and ensure all documentation is accurately posted to accounting and billing systems.
• Debt Recovery: Execute debt recovery efforts, including working on accounts that have been written off.
• Stakeholder Relationship Management: Build and maintain positive working relationships with credit reporting agencies, collection agencies, and credit insurance providers.

• Graduate of college or university, preferably with a degree in Accounting.
• Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with accounting systems.
• Actively pursuing CPA designation .
• 1-2 years of relevant work experience in accounting roles, particularly in billing and accounts receivable.
• Knowledge of standard accounting principles and willingness to learn and apply them in practice.
