The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on engineering and geotechnical materials projects in a multi-discipline project team environment. Working in our Dartmouth, Nova Scotia office, it is expected that your technical skills will help continue the growth of the materials testing and inspection team.Your Key ResponsibilitiesManaging multiple variety of small to large material testing and inspection projectsPlanning and coordinating field and laboratory testing of construction materialsAbility to interact with a wide variety of clients from owners, developers, and contractors, to aggregate, hot mix asphalt, and ready mixed concrete producerClient management and business developmentPreparation and review of proposals and technical reportsProvision of Quality Control and Quality Assurance servicesSite inspection/supervisionBecome actively engaged in a role with a variety of trade associationsQualificationsYour Capabilities and CredentialsKnowledge of relevant CSA and ASTM Standards related to materials and concrete would be an assetStrong client management experienceA self-starter who is innovative and enjoy working in a team environmentThe ability and willingness to travel as neededEducation and ExperienceTechnical degree/diploma/certificate or equivalent in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering.Professional Engineer or Certified Engineering Technologist with a minimum of 8 years of experience in contracting/consulting.Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time.
