Our Geotechnical Team in Ontario is expanding and we are now looking for an Geotechnical Engineer in Training to join our team. This position is located in Vaughan, Ontario but we would consider applicants in the greater Toronto area as well that have good geotechnical skills from projects such as transportation, highways, rail, municipal roads and bridges.

Your role

• Work closely with a variety of AtkinsRealis professionals in multiple sectors such as transportation, rail & transit, energy, cities and developments as well as industrial.
• Participate on multi-disciplinary teams and projects and will be expected to collaborate on multidisciplinary projects of all scales.
• Assist in major programs, supporting complex proposals, mentoring of junior staff, as well as act as technical reference.
• Develop and expand our infrastructure geotechnics capability by building on the existing portfolio of our rapidly expanding, flexible and outward looking team that can tackle work across a broad spectrum of sectors.

About you

• Must have 3+ years of strong Geotechnical Engineering experience.
• A strong academic background with a relevant university degree.
• Proven experience working in the field, preferably in geotechnical drilling operations.
• Proven experience in highways, rail, municipal roads and bridges.
• Application of Design Standards and Guidelines in a design and field work ground investigation environment.

Additional information
Expected compensation for this role is between $80,700 - $111,000 annually. Base salaries are determined according to several parameters like skills, experience, and potential impact on the role. Internal and external competitiveness are also taken into account in our offers.
