Job Description

As

Geology Intern

, you will support a multidisciplinary team of geologists and engineers in both underground and open pit mining operations. You'll also participate in near-mine exploration activities, contributing to geological data collection, analysis, and reporting. This is a 12-16 month placement, starting in May 2026.

Key Responsibilities

Core Handling & Sampling

: Assist with measuring, logging, photographing, and moving core boxes.

Mapping & Grade Control

: Support mapping, chipping, sampling, and grade control activities.

Data Management

: Digitize maps and sections, enter data into databases, and prepare daily reports.

Collaboration

: Engage with Engineering, Geology, and Mine Operations teams.

Presentation & Reporting

: Prepare and present findings to the Geology team.

Other Duties

: Participate in health and safety programs and perform other tasks as required.

What You Bring to the Table

At least one year completed in Geology, Earth Sciences, or Geological Engineering. Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Valid Canadian driver's license and comfort driving 4x4 trucks. Detail-oriented with strong organizational and leadership skills. Willingness to work outdoors and in dynamic environments. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).

7x7 or 14x14 rotations Office, field, and underground environments
