Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shift Manager to oversee daily operations in our restaurant. The ideal candidate will ensure that all aspects of the establishment run smoothly, providing exceptional service to our guests while managing staff effectively. This role requires strong leadership skills, a commitment to food safety, and the ability to handle cash transactions accurately.

Duties

Supervise and coordinate daily restaurant operations, ensuring high standards of food quality and service. Train, mentor, and manage team members to foster a positive work environment and enhance performance. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness throughout the restaurant. Handle cash transactions, including cash register operations and end-of-day reconciliations. Assist in scheduling staff shifts to ensure adequate coverage during peak hours. Address customer inquiries and complaints promptly, ensuring a satisfactory resolution. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery. Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.

Skills

Proven experience in restaurant management or a similar supervisory role. Strong knowledge of food safety standards and best practices for food handling. Excellent supervising skills with the ability to lead a diverse team effectively. Proficient in cash handling procedures and POS systems. Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with staff and customers. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Experience in food service is a plus but not required.

Pay: From $18.20 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
