Responsibilities:



Perform a wide range of diagnostic ultrasound examinations, including abdominal, pelvic, obstetrical, vascular, and small parts scans, as requested by physicians. Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process, answering questions, and ensuring their comfort and privacy. Position patients correctly to obtain optimal images and utilize appropriate techniques for each examination. Operate ultrasound equipment effectively, selecting appropriate transducers and settings for different examinations. Adhere to safety protocols and quality control standards to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff. Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient information, imaging procedures, and results. Collaborate effectively with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to discuss imaging findings and contribute to patient care plans. Perform routine equipment checks, maintain equipment cleanliness, and report any malfunctions or necessary repairs. Maintain a clean and organized work environment. Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements and best practices in ultrasound technology.

Qualifications:



Completion of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program. Active certification as a Sonographer with Sonography Canada. (CMRITO) Strong knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and pathology. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills for maintaining accurate records. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced healthcare team. Proficiency with computer systems and medical imaging software.

Schedule:



Monday to Friday Full-time: 40 hours per week (flexible schedule may be possible) Part-time: Hours negotiable
