GENERAL PRECAST LABORERS Hours: Full-time, permanent, 40+ hours/week, various shift times, frequent overtime Responsibilities:
- Patching finished concrete products.
- Perform a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labor
- Maintain a clean work area: pick up all tools and equipment and secure job site each day in order to eliminate potential hazards.
- Material handling and storage.
- Using hand tools to grind product and shape to finish.
- Responsible for quality of product and efficiency of production.
- Participate in training and ongoing learning opportunities.
- Communicate effectively with coworkers and supervisors.
- Some knowledge of proper use of equipment, materials and supplies used in concrete and manufacturing work.
- Some knowledge of concrete finishing an asset.
- Reliability, flexible availability for differing work schedules, and strong work ethic are absolutely key.
- Must be punctual with a good attendance record.
- Positive, proactive attitude and approach to issues.
- Safety-oriented; we have a very strong safety culture.
- Strong communication skills, approachable, open-minded.
- Able to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Experience in manufacturing, production or construction environment an asset.
- Working various shift start times.
- Majority of work is performed standing/kneeling.
- Working in hazardous manufacturing/production environment requiring personal protective equipment.
- Concrete plant conditions of noise, dust, etc.
- Fast-paced environment.
- Working in varying temperatures; indoors in environmentally controlled conditions and outdoors in all weather and temperatures.
