We are seeking a highly driven and experienced General Manager (GM) to oversee the end-to-end supply chain operations of our coffee plant -- from sourcing and production to logistics, commercialization, and strategic planning. This leadership role will be pivotal in ensuring operational excellence, profitability, and long-term growth across all business channels, including retail, Away-from-Home (AFH), and online sales.


Position Overview




The General Manager will own the full P&L and manage the complete supply chain lifecycle for Ethical Bean Coffee. This includes strategy, budgeting, sourcing, production, inventory, quality, logistics, and commercialization. The GM will work closely with internal teams, external vendors, and partners at Kraft Heinz to ensure a seamless and efficient supply chain that supports the company's growth and sustainability goals. The GM will serve as a backup to the Operations Manager who will report into the GM.


Key Responsibilities




1. Sourcing & Procurement




Manage all supplier relationships across ~30 vendors Negotiate contracts and pricing for direct and indirect procurement. Oversee purchasing of raw materials and finished goods. Process and approve purchase orders and invoices for accounts payable.

2. Inventory Management - Operations Manager as Primary




Monitor and control inventory levels across multiple distribution centers (Milton, Aurora, and 3PL sites). Conduct monthly inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies. Ensure inventory accuracy across ERP systems (MoneyWorks and SAP WMS).

3. Demand Forecasting & Planning - Operations Manager as Primary




Integrate KHC retail supply plans with AFH and online sales data to create consolidated forecasts. Use data-driven insights to anticipate supply needs and mitigate disruptions.

4. Production Management - Operations Manager as Primary




Develop and execute daily production schedules. Optimize labor, material, and equipment resources to achieve yield and waste targets. Track and report on productivity, waste, and efficiency metrics.

5. Quality Assurance - Operations Manager as Primary




Ensure compliance with all food safety and quality standards. Serve as acting Quality Coordinator during leaves of absence. Lead internal and external quality and food safety audits.

6. Logistics & Distribution - Operations Manager as Primary




Oversee inbound and outbound logistics operations. Coordinate deliveries with vendors, 3PL partners, and KHC distribution centers. Manage Ethical Bean's warehouse operations, covering operational roles when required.

7. Export Management




Lead export processes, coordinating with customers, customs brokers, and freight partners.

8. Commercialization




Drive commercialization of new products and product updates, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless launches.

9. Maintenance & Repairs - Operations Manager as Primary




Implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs for all equipment. Respond to urgent breakdowns and coordinate contractor repairs. Manage facility maintenance and continuous improvement projects.

10. Capital Expenditures (CapEx)




Plan and oversee all CapEx projects, ensuring alignment with strategic growth goals.

11. Compliance & Sustainability




Maintain compliance with all regulatory, environmental, and corporate standards. Prepare and submit all required reports and audits on time. Champion sustainability initiatives across operations.

Qualifications




Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Engineering, or a related field (MBA preferred). 8+ years of progressive experience in manufacturing or supply chain management, preferably in the food or beverage industry. Proven leadership experience managing cross-functional operations and P&L ownership. Strong understanding of ERP and WMS systems (experience with SAP and MoneyWorks a plus). Excellent analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills. Demonstrated ability to manage vendors, logistics, and production in a dynamic, high-growth environment. Knowledge of food safety standards, quality systems, and compliance regulations.

New Hire Base Salary Range:




$118,600.00 - $148,200.00


Bonus:

This position is eligible for a performance-based bonus as provided by the plan terms and governing documents.


The compensation offered will take into account internal equity and may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors
