Job Description

The Sweet Shop, established in 1980, in Tobermory Ontario, makes confectionary products for retail and wholesale costumers. Our products consist of fudge, brittle, and traditional confectionary chocolates using our very own recipes, using the finest ingredients and traditional cooking methods. Along with our traditional confections, we serve premium ice cream and other candy treats creating a whimsical , fun and memorable in-store experience.

We are looking for a General Manager who is familiar with all areas of business activities including Accounting, Operations, Sales, Social Media, Marketing, and Human Resources.

Responsibilities

-Oversee daily operations of The Sweet Shop

-Provide direct management of key team leaders, production associates and retail staff

-Ensure overall delivery and quality of The Sweet Shop's offerings to costumers

-Oversee key hiring and talent development programs including coaching, monitoring, and appraising job performance

-Obtain profit targets by managing staff and expenses

-Evaluate key investments in equipment and infrastructure

-Build company image by collaborating with costumers, government, community and employees

What You Bring

-2 + years experience as a supervisor/manager in a food/confectionary retail environment

-Post Secondary Education preferred

-Computer aptitude including proficiency in MS Office software, and Quickbooks accounting
