Job Description

We're hiring a General Manager to run the day-to-day operations of a distillery with a strong focus on production quality, team leadership, and guest experience. This role needs someone who can keep the operation disciplined, deliver a standout visitor experience, and bring genuine passion for craft spirits. If you know how to lead people, manage processes, and maintain high standards, you'll excel here.

What You'll Do:

Oversee daily distillery operations, including production, tasting room, tours, and retail Lead, coach, and develop staff across front-of-house and back-of-house functions Manage inventory, ordering, production schedules, and quality control Maintain strict compliance with provincial and federal regulations Drive sales through strong guest engagement, events, and local partnerships Control costs, monitor financial performance, and hit operational targets Ensure a clean, safe, and well-executed environment for guests and employees Support branding, marketing initiatives, and community outreach

What You Bring:

Leadership experience in hospitality, manufacturing, beverage, or distillery/brewery environments Strong operational mindset with the ability to manage people, processes, and product flow Knowledge of production standards, safety requirements, and compliance practices Solid financial acumen -- scheduling, inventory, budgeting, and reporting Excellent communication and team-building skills A hands-on approach and the ability to problem-solve on the fly
