General Manager (GM)
to oversee regional projects, lead our crews, and support the continued growth of our business.
Position Overview
The General Manager will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations across Western Canada,. This leader must have hands-on experience in the roofing industry, strong operational management skills, and the ability to effectively guide and support field teams. Foremen will report directly to this role, and the GM will report to Ownership.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee all roofing operations across Western Canada, including planning, scheduling, and project execution.
Lead, mentor, and manage foremen and roofing crews to ensure high performance and adherence to company standards.
Ensure project timelines, budgets, and quality requirements are consistently met.
Maintain strong communication with Ownership regarding project status, operational needs, staffing, and business performance.
Drive operational efficiency and continuous improvement across all job sites.
Manage workforce planning, including crew allocation, hiring needs, onboarding, and training.
Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and company policies.
Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, suppliers, and partners.
Support long-term stability and growth through proactive planning and operational leadership.
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in roofing or construction operations management (Commercial roofing experience strongly preferred).
Proven leadership experience managing field teams or foremen.
Strong understanding of roofing systems, installation practices, and job-site requirements.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Ability to oversee multiple projects across regions.
Strong commitment to safety and quality control.
Valid driver's license; ability to travel to job sites as needed.
