This is a rare opportunity to join at the ground floor of a landmark redevelopment. You'll oversee end-to-end operations across boutique hotel suites and long-term residential rentals and commercial lease spaces --expanding to a coffee shop, banquet/event, pub/restaurant spaces as phases are completed. The role starts hands-on and grows into full team leadership and strategic oversight.
What You'll Lead
Guest & Tenant Experience: Front-of-house standards, issue resolution, reviews/feedback loops, service improvements.
Residential Tenancy Admin: Leasing, move-in/out, inspections, notices/filings, records (RTA compliant).
Commercial Lease Administration
Financial & Operational Oversight: Budgets, revenue/expenses, occupancy (hotel & residential), pricing and rate strategy, cash controls, daily reconciliation.
Staff Leadership: Hire, schedule, train and coach front desk, housekeeping and maintenance; set KPIs; performance reviews.
Property Ops & Maintenance: Preventive/corrective maintenance, contractor coordination, key control, inventory, safety/security compliance.
Sales, Marketing & Community Relations: Manage OTA/direct bookings, reputation (Google/Tripadvisor), local promotions; active involvement with Chamber of Commerce, tourism organizations (e.g., Tourism Ontario/DMOs), BIAs, Rotary and related associations to drive awareness and partnerships.
Compliance & Admin: Policy implementation, reporting, records, and alignment with our Vision, Mission, and Values.
What You Bring
Hospitality/Hotel or Business education (or equivalent experience).
Working knowledge of the Ontario Innkeepers Act and Residential Tenancies Act (RTA); comfortable with LTB processes.
Strong service mindset for both guests and tenants; calm, professional conflict resolution.
Financial acumen (budgeting, forecasting, pricing, KPI analysis).
Experience with PMS/OTA platforms and property management software; solid MS 365/Google Workspace skills.
Organized, adaptable and hands-on; able to thrive in evolving, multi-phase operations.
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary: starting at $75,000, commensurate with experience.
Benefits: Health/dental, 3 weeks' vacation
On-site leadership required: additional presence during openings/events/urgent incidents.
