Position Overview



We are seeking a dynamic, results-driven

Hotel General Manager

to lead our property and drive both operational success and revenue growth. This role is ideal for a business leader with strong sales experience and exceptional people skills--prior hotel management experience is

not required

. The successful candidate will bring a proven track record in sales, a passion for customer service, and the ability to inspire and manage a team toward excellence in guest satisfaction and financial performance.

Fluency in French

is a

fantastic asset

Key Responsibilities



Leadership & Operations



Oversee the day-to-day operations of the hotel, ensuring an efficient, guest-focused environment. Provide leadership and support to all departments including Front Desk, Housekeeping, and Maintenance. Uphold company policies, standards, and values while fostering a positive and professional workplace culture. Work closely with the Vice President to execute company initiatives and achieve both short- and long-term goals.

Sales & Business Development



Take ownership of local sales efforts, with a focus on developing and maintaining strong relationships with key clients and corporate accounts. Identify and pursue new business opportunities to increase occupancy and revenue. Collaborate with the Vice President to implement marketing and promotional strategies. Monitor market trends and competitors to position the hotel effectively within the local market.

Financial Performance



Assist in developing and managing the annual budget, ensuring profitability and efficient cost control. Track key performance metrics including occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, and overall revenue goals. Prepare financial and operational reports for review with the Vice President.

Team Management & Development



Recruit, train, and motivate a high-performing team focused on guest satisfaction and operational excellence. Conduct regular staff meetings to align team goals and reinforce service standards. Foster a culture of accountability, recognition, and continuous improvement.

Guest Experience



Ensure guests receive an exceptional experience through attention to detail, problem-solving, and proactive service. Handle guest concerns and feedback professionally and efficiently. Promote a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all guests and staff.

Qualifications & Experience



Proven experience in

sales or business development

with a strong record of achieving or exceeding targets. Leadership experience in managing teams and building positive workplace cultures (hospitality experience an asset, but

not required

). Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.

Fluency in French
