Tridon Communications is expanding our operations! We are seeking a General Manager - Telecommunications to be based out of our Head Office in Edmonton, AB.
*Relocation package will be provided.
Job Summary:
The General Manager will operate their designated branches as a stand-alone business unit. They will have direct responsibility for business and staff performance as well as oversight for all activities, including all products and services offered by Tridon Communications, in their assigned branch location. They will direct the branch teams and provide leadership to achieve maximum profitability and growth in line with the company's mission, vision, and values.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Manage and oversee all aspects of the products and services offered while directing branch operations
Develop a business plan and sales strategy that ensures attainment of company goals for sales and profitability
Participate with Executive Team, in developing corporate goals, objectives, policies and procedures
Investigate marketing opportunities; initiate and coordinate development of action plans through teams to penetrate new markets and grow/maintain customer base
Support all business development efforts regarding growing branch operations and the Company's reputation
Provide and support timely, accurate, competitive pricing solutions for approved customers, while striving to maintain maximum profit margin
Maintain direct contact with all clients in the market area to ensure high levels of client satisfaction, high level management of client contracts
Constructively handle customer complaints related to all activities
Assist team in preparation of proposals, presentations, and site preparation
Participate in budget preparation process for their branch location
Control branch expenses to meet budget guidelines
Seek out internal and external opportunities for continued professional growth, improving sales skills, managerial skills, business skills and product knowledge
Assist in recruitment efforts and approve new hires, as well as ensuring all employees are up to date on new procedures, policies, and product offerings
Motivate employees, set goals and targets, and encourage continued success through positive reinforcement
Maintain inventory control based on the specific needs of the market in coordination with corporate objectives
Adhere to rules regarding levels of authority requiring corporate involvement/approval
Champion for safety and quality in their designated branch
Other reasonable duties as assigned
Required Work Experience:
5 + years of experience in a Branch level Management role with multiple direct reports
5 + years of direct communications industry experience is required
Experience with personal, local and enterprise communications solutions an asset
Knowledge of products and services offered by Tridon Communications
Proven track record in managing and directing a diverse team of Management and Technicians

Valid Alberta Class 5 Operator's License or equivalent (recent 5-year Driver's Abstract will be required upon hire as a condition of employment) as there will be a requirement to travel to client location and client sites
