Reporting to the Regional Vice President, the General Manager is responsible for driving location performance by focusing on revenue generation, profitability, operational efficiency, and staffing. This key role involves leading all departments to ensure alignment with company objectives, compliance with customer protocols, and financial stability. The General Manager will delegate effectively while staying engaged with industry standards, nurture client relationships, and foster business growth, ensuring operations align with the organizations strategic goals.

Salary Range: $75,000 - $100,000 (commensurate with experience)
Additional Incentives: Performance-based bonus opportunities
Job Responsibilities Include:
Oversee operational systems and policies to ensure compliance with BELFORs vision and relevant legislation.
Enhance coordination and communication among HR, Marketing, Sales, and Finance departments.
Drive short- and long-term planning initiatives for operational excellence.
Manage the on-call schedule and facilitate interdepartmental collaboration, including after-hours emergency services.
Ensure adherence to Health and Safety policies.
Assess and recommend adjustments for equipment and vehicle allocations.
Conduct weekly meetings to review performance metrics and customer satisfaction.
Provide exceptional customer service while meeting deadlines.
Communicate site conditions and concerns to stakeholders.
Attend BELFOR-sponsored training for professional development.
Manage financial planning and conduct ongoing performance reviews, including budgeting and invoicing.
Collaborate with collection agencies on overdue accounts and manage bad debt write-offs.
Oversee project compliance and profitability with Project Managers and Assistants.
Collaborate on job sites to develop scopes of work and secure necessary authorizations.
Conduct meetings to review contracts and budgets, ensuring project profitability.
Obtain completion certificates and manage interim invoicing.
Support HR activities, including staffing, performance evaluations, and training.
Foster employee growth through mentoring and accountability management.
Participate in workers' compensation claims and accommodations.
Identify marketing opportunities and support business development strategies.
Attend industry events for networking and professional growth.
Implement best practices to optimize productivity and hold regular meetings to improve efficiency.
Required Qualifications:
Post-secondary certificate, degree, or diploma in Project Management, Business Management, or Construction Management
5+ years in construction, insurance, or restoration industry
4+ years as a Project Manager and in a leadership role
3+ years in estimating
Experience with Xactimate and XactAnalysis
Strong time management, decision-making, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of strategic marketing strategies
Comprehensive understanding of customer service principles
Eligible to operate a motor vehicle (per BELFOR's vehicle policy)
Ability to work independently and in a team
Self-driven to meet goals and deadlines
Strong written/verbal communication and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment
Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, JD Edwards, and Xactimate/Xactanalysis
Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and on-call as needed
Periodic travel required
Ability to pass a criminal record check
Even better if you have:
Advanced certifications in Project Management or related fields
Familiarity with industry regulations and insurance protocols
Experience with large-scale restoration projects
Leadership experience in multi-site operations
Strong networking and relationship-building skills
