Job Summary

We are looking for an energetic and motivated

General Labourer / Yard Hand

to join our busy team in Fort Nelson. This is a great

entry-level opportunity

for someone looking to start their career in the transport and logistics industry.

You will work

directly under the guidance of the Operations Manager

, supporting our yard and warehouse operations to keep them running smoothly and safely. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, takes direction well, isn't afraid of hard work, and wants to be part of a supportive team.

Responsibilities

Assist

with the safe loading and unloading of trucks, trailers, and customer vehicles.

Help maintain

a clean, organized, and safe yard by sorting materials, managing inventory, and keeping pathways clear.

Perform

general site upkeep, including cleaning, sweeping, managing debris, and performing snow removal during winter months.

Support

our truck drivers and equipment operators by helping prepare loads and secure cargo.

Learn to safely operate

yard equipment such as a forklift and pallet jack (training and certification will be provided).

Assist

with the cleaning, maintenance, and organization of our waste and recycling bins.

Follow

all company safety policies, procedures, and safety standards (including WHMIS and PPE use). Report any hazards to the Operations Manager.

Skills

Experience:

No experience necessary!

We are willing to train the right person. Any previous labour experience (e.g., construction, landscaping, warehouse) is a bonus, but not required.

Physical Fitness:

Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs), standing for long periods, bending, and working outdoors in all weather conditions.

Work Ethic:

A strong, reliable work ethic. You must be punctual and show up ready to work every day.

Attitude:

A positive, "can-do" attitude with a strong

eagerness to learn

and take direction well.

Safety Conscious:

A commitment to keeping yourself and your teammates safe is non-negotiable.

Driver's License:

A valid Class 5 Driver's License and a clean driver's abstract are required.
