Position Details

Euro Tile & Stone is looking for a Sample Room Team Lead to help create our sample boards and be the main point of contact between management and the Sample Department. Be a part of our growing team.

What You\xe2\x80\x99ll Be Doing

• Maintain regular and effective communication with their direct manager to ensure smooth operation of the Sample Department
• Distribute daily tasks to team members, follow up on ongoing orders, ensure team members have what they need to succeed
• Organize and track supplies for the Sample Department
• Ensure the quality of the Sample Department product leaving the building
• Preparing display boards with tile chips, pictures and labels
• Cut tiles to correct sizes
• Ensure all procedures (including H&S) are being followed by the Sample Department Associates
• Ensure safe working environment 100% of the time
• Communicate with the Warehouse and other departments on behalf of the Sample Department
• Track all incoming samples - communicate with appropriate personnel when arrived
• Ensure internal client\xe2\x80\x99s requirements are met, including timelines, inventory levels, processing orders and communicating with all parties involved
• Organize appropriate paperwork and electronic files
• Teamwork. That means leading and collaborating with Warehouse Associates and working harmoniously with other business units including sales teams, Logistics Managers, Operations Managers, etc.
• Preparing display boards with tile chips, pictures and labels
• General clean-up/organization of workspace
• Attention to detail is important and working with low supervision.

What You Bring to the Role

• An ability to lead by example.
• 1 \xe2\x80\x93 2 years experience in a similar role is preferred, but not required
• An understanding that the client is central to everything we do
• No experience necessary, but experience with tools an asset
• Ability to communicate effectively in person, over the phone and by email
• Ability to multi task effectively
• Mature, positive, friendly, courteous attitude
• Highly detailed and precision oriented. Accuracy in this position is a must
• Proactively identify potential problems and taking care of them before they might escalate
• Able to use technology (ERP, Microsoft Office specifically Excel). We\xe2\x80\x99ll train you on our systems in your first week
• Should be able to lift up to 20 lbs without assistance and work in a workshop setting
• Must be able to handle noisy environments and working around tile dust
