Activate is a tech company known for creating Canada's first full-scale interactive gaming facility and we are looking to expand our build team with a Construction General Labourer to help our expansion in Calgary. We are looking for someone with a great deal of enthusiasm mixed with a great attitude and a desire to work hard. If you believe you are capable of completing this job, we want to hear from you!
This is a full-time temporary position and you will be reporting to the on-site construction lead.
Summary of Duties and Responsibilities

• 
  
• Act as the point person to open and close the site;
• Receive packages and skids;
• Organize and unload materials, as required;
• Keep the site clean and organized with tool/supply inventory management and waste management;
• Provide regular updates to project manager and senior management;
• Aid in completion of build alongside a team of carpenters, installers, and others;
• Use various hand and power tools and pallet jacks to complete projects including framing, mudding, taping, painting, and other tasks as assigned;

Qualifications

• 
  
• Steel toed boots are required but not provided;
• Strong attendance record is a must;
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instruction;
• Reliable personal transportation is required;
• Experience with power and hand tools is required;
• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs. consistently;
• Must be able to stand and lift consistently for up to 8 hours;
• Must be legally entitled to work in Canada;

Other Skills

• 
  
• CSTS 2020, First Aid certification is considered an asset;
• Willingness to learn new skills is strongly considered an asset;
