About the Role
We are looking for a reliable
General Labourer
to support our machine shop on a temporary basis. The work is primarilygrinding
andbasic machine support
, working with metal parts in an industrial environment.Key Responsibilities
Grind and deburr metal parts Assist machine operators (loading/unloading parts, simple tasks after training) Perform basic visual inspection for burrs, sharp edges, and obvious defects Keep the work area tidy and follow all safety procedures Perform other general labour tasks as assigned
Work Environment
Busy
machine shop
-noisy, dusty, industrial
Standing, walking, and repetitive tasks for most of the shift Working around running machinery and equipment PPE required: safety boots; safety glasses and hearing protection provided (additional PPE as needed)Qualifications
Experience in a manufacturing, metal shop, or industrial environment is an asset Comfortable working in a noisy, dusty shop environment Able to follow instructions and work safely around machinery Good attention to detail and quality Reliable, punctual, and willing to learn
