General Accountability

This position is responsible to perform the required tasks on our two semi automated packaging lines safely, efficiently to maintain and to meet daily production targets. Frequent quality checks and troubleshooting activities are included.

Specific Responsibilities

Working on our 2 separate shavings packaging production lines by performing the following tasks: Loading required raw packaging materials at the start of the lines while ensuring quality and output requirements are met. Packing finished packages into liners for skidding Skidding finished product for shipping Wrapping and loading finished skids onto shipping trailer using a forklift Unloading supply trailers using a pump truck and skid steer Performing other tasks along the production lines including inspecting packages for damage, monitoring equipment for performance, removing failed packages from the machine Load loose shavings into the bulk feeding system using a skid steer or cutting bales. Assist with identifying and solving problems on the lines while running that may compromise output quality or quantity Assist with product changeovers and setups. Follow all required health and safety procedures, rules and practices. Reports issues or problems with production to supervisor Perform housekeeping duties as required during downtimes or as requested by supervision including sweeping, tidying, repalletizing, storing, etc. Other duties as required

Working Conditions

Production facility environment Repetitive work Exposure to noise, temperature changes, dust and to odours Standing and walking the full shift Repetitive lifting up to 50 lbs. Fast paced - Daily volume requirements Some outdoor yard clean up (weather permitting)

Qualifications

Experience in manufacturing environment preferred Ability to occasionally manually lift up to 55 lbs is required Forklift experience is preferred

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $22.00-$23.50 per hour
