General Labour - Customer Service Representative



SDI/Merik is a progressive industrial Rolling Steel Door manufacturer looking for motivated candidate to join our Quebec Distribution Center. In this position, you will be responsible for a variety of duties across warehouse operations, and customer support. You'll be a primary contact for customers placing orders or seeking product information, while also maintaining the distribution warehouse. This role requires excellent communication, organization, and hands-on mechanical skills.

Duties & Responsibilities:



Provide exceptional service to all customers via phone, email, and in person Advise clients on appropriate parts, accessories, and solutions across all product lines Process quotes, order confirmations, direct sales orders, and digital payments (debit/credit only) Communicate order status, delivery timelines, and logistics updates to customers Pick, pack, and prepare materials for pickup or shipping Assist in ordering/requesting inventory and organizing stock levels Assist in maintaining accurate inventory: receiving, counting, organizing, and restocking Perform various labourer/manufacturing duties Safely operate hand tools, and related machinery Clean and maintain warehouse Load customer orders into trucks safely and efficiently Load and unload shipping containers with incoming/outgoing materials

Required Skills & Qualifications:



2-4 years of experience in industrial overhead door industry or related mechanical/warehouse work Bilingual in

English and French

est un fabricant industriel progressif de portes roulantes en acier a la recherche d'un candidat motive pour rejoindre notre centre de distribution au Quebec.
Dans ce poste, vous serez responsable d'un eventail de taches liees aux operations d'entrepot et au service a la clientele. Vous serez un contact principal pour les clients qui passent des commandes ou demandent des informations sur les produits, tout en assurant l'entretien et la gestion de l'entrepot de distribution. Ce poste necessite d'excellentes competences en communication, en organisation, ainsi que des aptitudes pratiques en mecanique.

Taches et responsabilites :



Offrir un service exceptionnel a tous les clients par telephone, par courriel et en personne Conseiller les clients sur les pieces, accessoires et solutions appropries pour toutes les gammes de produits Traiter les soumissions, les confirmations de commandes, les ventes directes et les paiements numeriques (debit/credit uniquement) Communiquer les statuts de commande, les delais de livraison et les mises a jour logistiques aux clients Preparer les materiaux pour le ramassage ou l'expedition : cueillette, emballage, etiquetage Aider a la commande ou a la demande de stocks et a l'organisation des niveaux d'inventaire Contribuer a la gestion precise des inventaires : reception, comptage, organisation et reapprovisionnement Effectuer diverses taches de main-d'oeuvre/manufacture Utiliser en toute securite des outils manuels et de la machinerie connexe Nettoyer et entretenir l'entrepot Charger les commandes des clients dans les camions de maniere securitaire et efficace Charger et decharger les conteneurs d'expedition (materiaux entrants et sortants)

Competences et qualifications requises :



2 a 4 ans d'experience dans l'industrie des portes industrielles ou dans un domaine connexe (travail mecanique ou entrepot)

Bilingue anglais et francais (ecrit et parle) -- requis

Competences informatiques (courriels, saisie de commandes, navigation de base dans un systeme) Excellente attention aux details et solides competences en organisation Capacite a gerer plusieurs taches a la fois, a etablir des priorites et a travailler efficacement sous pression Solides competences interpersonnelles et en resolution de problemes Capacite physique a soulever jusqu'a 50 lb (environ 23 kg) Connaissances de base en mathematiques (ex. : lecture d'un ruban a mesurer) Experience avec les chariots elevateurs --
