We are currently recruiting for a full-time General Laborer in our Custom Homes and Cottages division from Monday- Friday 7:30am-4pm. This position will be based out of the Oakville area.

Responsibilities

The ideal candidate is someone with experience as a laborer or handyman in residential construction. The individual will be responsible for various tasks including but not limited to:

Site preparation and post-construction clean up of rubble and debris Assist with loading, unloading and transporting construction-related material to and from job sites Material and tool handling Assist with equipment set up on site if required Minor construction work under the project manager's supervision such as measuring and cutting wood, demolition work, drywall Assist in the requisition of materials, equipment and supplies Follow safety guidelines and protocols at all times Perform various manual labor tasks as assigned by carpenter or project manager

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent previous experience in construction or general labor is an asset ability to safely use hand tolls, power tolls, and basic equipment Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions Good teamwork and communication skills Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Position Requirements

Previous experience in a labor-intensive role preferred Access to own vehicle and a valid G driver's license Familiarity with hand tools and knowledge of residential construction Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks Excellent communication and a strong work ethic Willingness to learn and take direction from supervisors Firm understanding of job safety
