In Insurance is a licensed general insurance brokerage based in Richmond, BC. founded in 2016. Our company strives to foster the next generation of insurance professionals and provide outstanding service to our clients.

The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated individual looking to get certified in the general insurance industry in BC or already have worked as a licensed broker/salesperson to work on-site at our brokerage. Successful applicants without a license will start in a part-time administrative role and will be given 3 months to obtain their level 1 general insurance license.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Act as an insurance broker, providing expert advice and guidance to clients in selecting the most suitable insurance policies
• Analyze clients' insurance needs and recommend appropriate coverage options
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients to ensure their insurance needs are met
• Prepare and present insurance quotes to clients, explaining coverage details and premiums
• Process insurance applications, endorsements, and renewals accurately and efficiently
• Assist clients in filing insurance claims and provide support throughout the claims process
• Collaborate with underwriters and insurance carriers to negotiate terms and conditions for policies

Requirements

• Fluent in English and Chinese (Cantonese and/or Mandarin), with excellent communication skills in both languages
• Bilingual skills are highly desirable, as the position requires interacting with a diverse client base
• Active level 1 general insurance license (CAIB, Fundamentals of Insurance, or equivalent) is strongly preferred but not required
• Proven experience in outside sales or retail sales, preferably in the insurance industry
• Strong analytical skills to assess clients' insurance needs and recommend appropriate coverage options
• Ability to effectively negotiate terms and conditions with underwriters and insurance carriers
• Proficient in sales administration, including preparing quotes, processing applications, and managing client documentation
• Excellent interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with clients
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple client accounts simultaneously

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00-$24.00 per hour
