Duties
Assist with planting, watering, fertilizing, and harvesting crops using appropriate tools and techniques
Operate farm machinery and power tools safely and efficiently
Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on equipment and irrigation systems
Use hand tools for various tasks including pruning, staking, and soil preparation
Monitor crop health and report any issues related to pests or diseases
Assist with heavy lifting of supplies, produce, or equipment as needed
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the farm work areas
Support irrigation setup and troubleshooting to ensure proper water distribution
Follow safety protocols during all farm activities to prevent accidents or injuries
Qualifications
Basic knowledge of horticulture principles and farm maintenance practices
Experience with farm machinery operation and power tools is preferred
Mechanical knowledge beneficial for troubleshooting equipment issues
Ability to perform heavy lifting and operate heavy equipment safely
Familiarity with hand tools, irrigation systems, and general farm maintenance
Basic math skills for measuring inputs and calculating quantities
Physical stamina to work outdoors in varying weather conditions for extended periods
