Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and versatile individual to join our team as a general labourer. A background in various construction tasks is beneficial but not necessary. Must be able to work on various jobsites throughout Ottawa.
Responsibilities
Assist with site preparation, cleanup, and material handling, ensuring a safe and organized work environment. Support skilled trades by following instructions and performing basic construction tasks. Perform general labour tasks including demolition, digging, concrete work, and layout assistance. Operate and maintain tools and equipment safely and properly. Handle heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks while maintaining safety protocols. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
Qualifications
Previous construction or general labour experience an asset, but entry-level candidates may be considered. Physically able to lift heavy materials, stand for long periods, and perform manual labour in various weather conditions. Understanding of workplace safety practices and commitment to following health and safety regulations. Ability to follow instructions, work as part of a team, and communicate effectively with supervisors and crew members.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00-$24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
