Tasks

Load, unload and transport construction materials Perform pre-operational inspection Clean and lubricate cranes Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks shoring and barricades Mix, pour and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt Operate cranes equipped with dredging attachments to dredge waterways and other areas Operate gantry cranes to load and unload ship cargo at port side Operate locomotive cranes to move objects and materials at railway yards Assist in drilling and blasting rock on construction sites Assist in framing houses, erecting walls and building roofs Assist in demolishing buildings Perform routine maintenance work Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction Direct traffic at or near construction sites
