- Maintain the company\'s financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger
- Record financial transactions accurately and in a timely manner using accounting software
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card statements
- Prepare and file monthly, quarterly, and annual tax returns
- Assist with budget preparation and forecasting
- Provide financial reports to management on a regular basis
- Monitor cash flow and ensure that the company has adequate cash reserves to meet its obligations
- Assist with audits and other financial reviews
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial information is available to support decision-making
- Assist in the preparation and presentation of ad hoc and routine department and management reporting
- Handle sensitive information in a confidential manner
- Minimum of 5 years in the accounting/finance field and strong corporate tax knowledge
- Bachelor\'s degree in Finance, Administration, Commerce or Business Administration
- Relevant certification (CPA) is bonus.
- Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures
- In-depth understanding of GAAP & IFRS Standard
- Advanced knowledge of Canadian federal and provincial corporate tax
- Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process
- Hands-on experience with accounting software
