About the role:
The General Accountant will be responsible for overall financial bookkeeping for 3 entities in the Quebec region. Fluency in French / English is imperative. This is an exciting role for a bright, sharp minded person looking for a fast paced exciting opportunity to work remotely within the Montreal area. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• Full bookkeeping and accounting for 3 entities
• Communication with suppliers, vendors operations and other staff in both official languages.
• Invoice tracking and investigations
• Media sales commissions, reports and tracking
• Prepare and present financial information for monthly, quarterly and annual reports, including bank and statutory reporting requirements.
• Manage foreign exchange transactions.
• Responsible for ensuring Sales Tax compliance in all jurisdictions.
• Other related duties and required or assigned.

About You:

• Diploma or Degree in Accounting, pursuing CPA
• Minimum 2 years experience in a full cycle accounting role
• Self-starter with a \xe2\x80\x9ccan do\xe2\x80\x9d attitude and a desire to step outside of comfort zone to accomplish new tasks and to be part of a team that is building a business
• Excellent communication -in both French and English (written & verbal) is MANDATORY
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Experience overseeing review engagements performed by external accounting firms.
• Knowledge of QuickBooks Online is preferred.
