Overview

We are seeking dedicated and hardworking individuals to join our team as Junk and Snow Removal Laborer with clean class 5 licence. In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of our community by collecting waste and recyclables. This position requires physical stamina, attention to safety protocols, and a commitment to providing excellent service.

Duties

Operate a 1 ton truck with trailer and able to back up for Junk collection safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic regulations. Collect waste and recyclables from residential and commercial properties on designated routes. Perform heavy lifting up to 100lbs of bins and bags, ensuring proper handling techniques to avoid injury. Assist in the loading of collected materials onto the truck for transport to disposal or recycling facilities. Conduct routine inspections of the collection vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. Maintain a clean work environment by ensuring that all collected materials are properly disposed of. Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding route issues or equipment malfunctions.

Requirements

Ability to perform heavy lifting, as the role involves handling large objects and bags of waste. Valid class 5 driver's license with a clean driving record; experience driving larger vehicles is preferred. Must be able to pull and back up a 15 ft trailer. ( Roll off truck experience an asset. ) Strong commitment to safety practices and procedures while on the job. Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions for extended periods. Excellent teamwork and record keeping skills a must and a positive attitude towards serving the community. Previous experience in waste management or similar roles is a plus but not required. Pay: $15.78-$23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 40 per week
