Garage Door Technician (Service Orientated)

Garage Door Technician

. We have part time and full time positions available in our Salmon Arm Branch.

Viking Doors Inc. provides a variety of services from repair to installation of garage doors, docks, gates and more. Services range from planned maintenance, inspections and diagnostic services as well as repairs, retrofits and new installations for residential, commercial and industrial customers.

Responsibilities & Duties:

Promote a positive customer experience with a strong focus of quality service and quality product Installing garage doors (Residential, Commercial, Industrial) Installing dock levelers (Hydraulic, Air-Powered, Mechanical) - Experience not required but an asset Troubleshooting skills Maintenance and repair work (Dock & Doors), equipment installation and operation monitoring to ensure that mechanical doors are installed and functioning properly Complete all required documentation, work orders and any required information needed for team members to order required repair parts. Other duties as required Commercial and Industrial man door experience an asset but not required. Ability to preform weekly/daily truck inspections and inventory We require any candidates to hold their own hand/power tools for the job. All speciality tools will be provided

Qualifications & Experience:

Clean Driver's record Bondable. Criminal record check to be provided prior to hire Ability to arrive to work on time and ready to perform your duties Ability to lift at least 50 pounds regularly Basic electrical troubleshooting Overhead door specialists can demonstrate their expertise through voluntary certification Minimun 1 years Overhead Door experience Minimum 1 years Dock Levelers experience - Preferred, but not required Willing to train the right candidate Use of elevated platform lifts
Ticketed in the following (willing to provide to the right candidate):

First Aid w/ CPR Aerial Lift Fall Protection

Work Conditions:

Field work Working at Heights, ladders, elevated platform lifts Cold weather conditions, hot weather conditions Confined space Overtime will be part of the position Good communication skills Excellent organizational and multitasking skills Ability to work independently
