Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Garage Door Helper to join our team. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of construction and repair, with the ability to work independently and efficiently. This role involves helping the lead hand with installing, maintaining, and repairing garage doors and their components, ensuring customer satisfaction through high-quality service.

Responsibilities

Helping the lead hand with installing and repairing various types of garage doors and openers. Learning to troubleshoot issues with garage door systems and provide effective solutions. Utilize hand tools and power tools to perform repairs and installations. Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to understand installation requirements. Restore or replace damaged components as necessary. Ensure all work is completed in compliance with safety standards. Communicate effectively with customers regarding service needs and recommendations Maintain a clean and organized work area at all times.

Experience

Proven experience in construction or a related field is preferred. Familiarity with drywall installation, construction painting, and basic carpentry skills is a plus. Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately. Experience using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively. Knowledge of welding techniques is advantageous but not required. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.00-$23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
