You will report to the Lead Gameplay Engineer and work in a cross-discipline team to directly develop and support gameplay requirements.Responsibilities:You will develop features that bring the Skate\xe2\x84\xa2 gameplay vision to life.You will work collaboratively as part of a team that includes designers, animators, and other engineersDeliver compelling player experiences through a satisfying physics simulation in an open sandbox worldDevelop tools and support workflows based on requirements from both gameplay and other game areas.Work within a proprietary engine, providing feedback and understanding best practices in the engine.Analyze and optimize gameplay feature performance to reach release quality.Qualifications:Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent training and professional experience.3+ years experience with C++ and experience in object-oriented design and implementation.Knowledge of core gameplay systems such as character controls, input, animation systems, multiplayer, or other related system.Knowledge of good software programming practices.Excellent debugging experience using tools to help debug.Understanding of performance analysis and how to reduce costsKnowledge in a second field, such as physics or mathematics.Familiar with basic game development technologies such as Perforce, Visual Studio.Ceci ne s\'applique pas au Qu\xc3\xa9bec.COMPENSATION AND BENEFITSThe pay ranges listed below are for the defined geographic market pay zones in these locations.   • New York (depending on location e.g. Manhattan vs. Buffalo):
\xc2\xba $42 - $70 USD Hourly
  • Jersey City, NJ :
\xc2\xba $56 - $70 USD Hourly
  • Colorado (depending on location e.g. Denver vs. Colorado Springs):
\xc2\xba $45 - $59 USD Hourly
  • Washington (depending on location e.g. Seattle vs. Spokane):
\xc2\xba $42 - $70 USD Hourly
  • British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria):
\xc2\xba $79,900 - $111,900 CAN AnnuallyPay is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. In the US, we offer a package of benefits including paid time off (3 weeks per year to start), 80 hours per year of sick time, 16 paid company holidays per year, 10 weeks paid time off to bond with baby, medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and 401(k) to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity. For British Columbia, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
