Cavendish Farms is a leading producer of frozen food products for retail and foodservice markets throughout Canada, the United States, and around the world. We have state-of-the-art potato processing plants in Prince Edward Island, Lethbridge, Alberta, and Jamestown, North Dakota, and an appetizer plant in Wheatley, Ontario. Our Head office is in Dieppe, New Brunswick and has sales office locations in Toronto, Montreal, and Boston.

Reporting to the Accounts Payable Manager, the Accounts Payable Administrator must thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment while maintaining a high level of professionalism, accuracy, and detail. The selected candidate should be experienced in accounting and systems concepts, be an analytical thinker, highly motivated, and process excellent communication skills.

Qualifications:

• Education Required: High School Diploma with a focus on Business or Accounting
• Years of Experience Required:

2 years * Knowledge of computer systems; JD Edwards and/or Basware would be considered an asset

• Self-starter with multi-tasking abilities
• Detail-oriented
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work in fast-paced environment
• Demonstrated systems aptitude
• Must be able to work in a team environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for analyzing and processing internal and external vendor invoices, which includes applying various tax rules to ensure accurate payment processing.
• Responsible for responding to and following up on vendor inquiries via phone and email in a timely and professional manner.
• Responsible for vendor reconciliations and statement review to ensure accounts are accurate and kept up to date.
• Responsible for completing and following up on various reporting. Included (but not limited to): Tax Reporting, Duplicate Reporting, Over 90 day Invoice/Credit Reporting, Over 90 day Held Cheque Reporting, Held Invoice/credit Reporting, Credit Balance Reporting, Unprocessed Invoice Reporting, PO\'s Received Not Invoiced Reporting and CRA Invoice/Credit Reporting.
• Responsible for preparing and reviewing payment registers, ensuring they are accurate and on time.
