Role:

The Functional Developer reports to the Manager, Functional Development and works closely with a diverse team consisting of a Project Manager, Business Analysts, a Team Leader, Developers and QAS.

Your Day with Equisoft:

Configure business processes according to business needs. Configure product modules (such as calculations) according to product specifications. Configure product rates and define parameters. Configure access and security roles. Use the built-in features of OIPA (Oracle Insurance Policy Administration) to meet business needs. Work with the technical team to ensure that integration points are supported through configuration Leverage and acquire skills in the insurance industry as well as technical skills Work in a service-oriented environment, involving occasional to frequent interactions with our clients at various levels

Requirements:

Technical

Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Physics, Biology, Chemistry, or related fields Programming experience; specifically, in procedural programming Strong understanding of SQL and general database concepts (query building and optimization) General understanding of various insurance and annuity products Excellent knowledge of French & English (spoken and written)

Soft skills

Strong sense of organization and prioritizing Analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to communicate, write and synthesize information Ability to multi-task in a rapid-paced environment Team spirit, tact, diplomacy, autonomy, rigor, and discipline

Nice to Haves:

Experience with Insurance Policy Administration Knowledge of Spanish (spoken and written)
