Medicine Hat College's Department of Humanities and Social Science invites applications for a Term-Certain Instructor in Philosophy for the Winter 2026 semester. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate courses in moral philosophy, bioethics, and philosophy of science:

PHIL 249 Morality, Virtue, and Society

A little about the role:

The primary workload will include instructing courses in-person. The successful candidate will also be required to engage in a variety of professional responsibilities and contribute to a collaborative environment that fosters the mission of the College and the success of our students. This position requires passion and commitment to learners, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work in a team.

As a successful applicant you'll have:


Master's degree in philosophy (PhD preferred). Post-Secondary teaching experience is an asset. Willingness to be part of a dynamic and collaborative team that focuses on student success and has a positive, appreciative and enthusiastic personality.
