Overview:

The Forensic Services and Coroner's Complex (FSCC) in North York is a high-security provincial facility housing Ontario's Chief Coroner's Office, the Centre of Forensic Sciences, and the Ontario Forensic Pathology Service.

Paladin Security is seeking professional, vigilant, and detail-oriented Full-Time Security Guards to join our dedicated night team at this critical site. Guards are responsible for maintaining the integrity and safety of this highly sensitive facility through continuous patrols, incident response, and professional interaction with staff and contractors.

Responsibilities:

Conduct regular patrols on foot throughout the FSCC complex, including parking lots and exterior zones. Provide escorts and contractor supervision as required to ensure access compliance and procedural adherence. Complete inspections and audits as scheduled or assigned. Perform Work Alone Checks in compliance with site safety protocols. Respond promptly and effectively to emergencies, including alarms, evacuations, and medical situations. Act as first responder for SOC dispatch calls and coordinate with team members as needed. Provide break relief coverage for other security personnel throughout shifts. Maintain thorough and accurate logs, incident reports, and activity documentation. Deliver customer service with professionalism, empathy, and respect toward all staff and visitors. Uphold all site security standards and Paladin procedures while maintaining situational awareness in a high-security environment.

Requirements:

Valid Ontario Security Guard License Valid WSIB-approved First Aid & CPR Level C Certification Minimum one (1) year of experience in a security role (institutional or government site experience preferred) Proficient in English, both oral and written Vulnerable Sector Check required Strong situational awareness and ability to remain calm under pressure Excellent teamwork, communication, and multitasking skills Legally authorized to work in Canada
