Job Summary

As a Rehabilitation Assistant, you will play a crucial role in the recovery and well-being of our rehab patients. Working closely with our veterinary team, you will assist in providing top-quality physical rehabilitation services, ensuring every patient receives the best possible care.

Key Responsibilities

Patient Handling:

Safely and confidently handle and manage patients of all sizes, including

large and physically challenging dogs

.

Treatment Support:

Assist veterinarians and certified technicians with various rehabilitation treatments, which may include hydrotherapy, therapeutic exercises, and modality application (e.g., laser).

Physical Demands:

Be prepared to work in

physically demanding and non-standard positions

(e.g., kneeling, bending, lifting) to properly manage and treat patients.

Clinic Maintenance:

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the rehabilitation area and equipment.

Client Communication:

Maintain clear and positive communication with pet owners regarding patient progress and home exercise programs.

Skills

Physical Capability:

Must be physically fit and capable of lifting, restraining, and managing large dogs and performing physically strenuous tasks safely.

Education/Experience:

While we provide comprehensive training, a

trained Veterinary Assistant background is a strong preference.

Experience in animal care is an asset.

Attitude:

Highly motivated, reliable, compassionate, and a dedicated team player.

Willingness to Learn:

Eager to learn new skills and participate in specialized training in veterinary rehabilitation.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00-$24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
