A busy accounting practice in Surrey is seeking a full-time/part-time senior office administrator with basic bookkeeping experience.

You will work with a second office administrator to jointly handle the running of the office and perform general office and other functions including:

Administration :



Responsible for overseeing the office administration and performing general office duties
(typing, photocopying, faxing, scanning, collating);

Answer calls on 3 line phone system, manage emails and direct client inquiries to partners and staff;
Oversee incoming and outgoing mail and courier deliveries;
Provide other administrative support as needed.

Bookkeeping :



Basic bookkeeping for the firm (A/R, A/P) in QuickBooks desktop;
Process invoices, record customer payments, collection duties;
Issue vendor payments;
Manage banking duties including deposits;
Reconcile petty cash;
*Jazzit Financial Statement proofing;

*Prepare letters for T2 Financial Statements;

*DocuSign for T2 related T183;

*E-filing T1 and T2s;

*US T1 mailings'

Perform other duties as required.

Other:



Edit financial statements; print and bind;
Type letters as required for year end engagements;
Efile corporate tax returns;
Intake of personal taxes, printing, assembly and client pick up (seasonal).

The Candidate :



Minimum 2 years of office administration, 1 year of bookkeeping experience in a fast-paced small office environment;
*Public accounting practice experience;

Professional and polished telephone etiquette;
Excellent communication and customer service skills;
Computer proficiency, speed and accuracy required;
Very good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Outlook;
Basic knowledge of QuickBooks desktop;
Extremely organized, and detailed;
Able to multi-task and prioritize deadline tasks.
