Full Time Mechanical Designer

Job Description
Leeson Engineering is currently looking for a Mechanical Desinger with commercial building design experience. Residential and industrial building design experience is also useful. The Mechanical Designer will collaborate with a team of mechanical engineers/technicians to provide client-focused solutions.
Required education: Diploma/Certificate in Mechanical Engineering
Responsibilities include:
To draft and design building mechanical and plumbing systems To develop and prepare engineering designs, drawings, documents and layouts from preliminary concepts, sketches, engineering calculations, specification sheets and other data Operate computer-assisted design (CAD) and drafting workstations Complete documentation packages and produce drawing sets Check and verify design drawings to conform to specifications and design data Travel to site(s) may be required
Qualifications:
To be responsible, efficient, and to have smart communication skills Must be detail-orientated with strong multi-tasking skills; can handle multiple projects at the same time Minimum 2+ years experience working in same or related industry preferred Fluent English skills (verbal and written) Must be well organized and punctual Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD preferred, intermediate proficiency acceptable Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Valid BC driving license is an assetJob Type: Full-time
