Specific Position Duties:
Shall be a dynamic student-centred educator committed to maximizing student learning in a safe and caring environment
Plan and deliver instruction in Division III and IV Mathematics, including up to Math 10C
Deliver courses in Division III and IV Science (e.g., Science 7/8/9, Science 10, Biology 20), if applicable
Contribute to Physical Education programming across Division II, III, and IV, as needed
Differentiate instruction and assessment strategies to meet a range of learning needs
Integrate technology tools to enhance student learning, planning, and communication
Work collaboratively with staff in a small-school setting, supporting cross-grade initiatives and student success
Qualifications and General Duties:
A valid Alberta Teaching Certificate
Demonstrates a student-centred philosophy committed to maximizing learning in a safe and caring environment
Proficiency with Google Suite and educational tools for communication and planning
Experience and/or training in Assessment for Learning, including formative and summative assessment strategies
Ability to build positive relationships with students and foster a sense of belonging
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues
Commitment to ongoing professional growth and reflective practice aligned with the Alberta Teaching Quality Standard
A willingness to contribute to the school's extracurricular programs is considered an asset
