Duties

Provide warm, attentive service to all guests, ensuring their needs are met with professionalism and enthusiasm Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest experience and increase sales Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining presentation standards in a fine dining or casual setting Manage multiple tables with excellent time management skills to ensure timely service during busy hours Assist with food handling, sanitation, and food safety protocols to uphold health standards Support kitchen staff by bussing tables, clearing dishes, and assisting with basic food preparation when needed Handle cash transactions accurately through POS systems and perform cashiering duties including basic math calculations Maintain a clean, organized work environment adhering to sanitation regulations and restaurant policies Use reservation platforms like OpenTable for guest seating arrangements and waitlist management Foster positive guest relations by addressing inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring overall satisfaction Collaborate with team members to deliver seamless service in a lively nightclub or restaurant atmosphere

Qualifications

Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments; fine dining experience is a plus Familiarity with POS systems; Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during peak hours Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures Ability to upsell menu items confidently while maintaining guest satisfaction Previous experience in serving, bussing, host/host roles or hospitality is preferred Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction accuracy Culinary or kitchen experience is beneficial for understanding food preparation processes Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays in a fast-paced environment
