$22.61/hour

Full Time (Continental Rotation 0800-2000 / 2000-0800)

Overtime Method:

Averaging Agreement after 88 Hours

Overview:

Kingston General Hospital is a vital healthcare facility providing top-tier medical care and community support. As part of Paladin Security's healthcare division, Security Floor Guards are responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, and hospital staff. This role requires professionalism, vigilance, and compassion while managing security duties in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

Responsibilities:

Maintain a professional, visible, and alert security presence throughout the hospital. Greet, assist, and direct staff, patients, and visitors in a courteous manner. Protect hospital personnel, property, and assets by carrying out assigned duties and patrols. Perform interior and exterior patrols, respond to emergencies, and provide necessary support. Monitor CCTV systems, enforce access control, and manage key control procedures. Support patient watches, enforce hospital policies, and uphold parking and smoking by-laws. Conduct monthly safety inspections and promptly report deficiencies. Document and report all incidents, investigations, and daily activities accurately. Collaborate effectively with the hospital's team while maintaining the ability to work independently. Carry out additional duties as assigned by site supervision or hospital management.

Must Have Requirements:

Valid Ontario Security Guard License Valid First Aid & CPR - Level C Certificate (from a WSIB-approved provider) Ability to be clean shaven to pass an N95 Mask Fit Test Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination (minimum double vaccination) Immunization Records including: Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR) Varicella (Chickenpox) Pertussis (Whooping Cough) TB Skin Tests (Step 1 & 2) Full-time availability with a minimum 6-month commitment English proficiency (oral and written) Authorized to work legally in Canada

Nice to Have:

Stay Safe Certification Applicants lacking this certification can complete Paladin's Stay Safe program before onboarding. Training is unpaid but fully covered by Paladin with a 6-month employment commitment. Bilingualism (English/French) - an asset 6+ months security experience (healthcare or non-healthcare) preferred 6+ months customer service experience preferred Ability to clear a Vulnerable Sector Check (during onboarding)
