The Saskatoon Downtown Youth Centre Inc. - EGADZ requires an Outreach Worker and individual interested in Full Time shifts for Baby Steps Outreach within EGADZ. (Shift Work Is Involved - Evenings/Weekends) EGADZ is an inter-agency, non-profit organization whose purpose is to provide services for hard to serve youth in Saskatoon with the mission to encourage and support them to make choices that improve their quality of life. Baby Steps is a community-based approach that supports our young mothers in reaching positive outcomes for themselves and their children. Baby Steps is a program designed to empower young mothers to learn, grow and become independent parents. The ideal candidates are non-judgmental, compassionate and are able to build trusting relationships with clients. Qualifications: \xc2\xb7 Post-secondary education in the human services field, equivalent experience or a combination of both \xc2\xb7 Demonstrate and practice a healthy lifestyle
Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with youth, staff and partnering agencies and maintain strict confidentiality and appropriate boundaries \xc2\xb7 Knowledge of other agencies and resources within our community \xc2\xb7 Ability to express ideas and concepts effectively in an oral and written form \xc2\xb7 Working knowledge of computers/windows \xc2\xb7 Knowledge of Indigenous cultures and issues \xc2\xb7 Must have a valid driver\xe2\x80\x99s license that reflects a safe driving record - A Driver\'s Abstract is Required (Within 3 Months). \xc2\xb7 Criminal Records Check including Vulnerable Sector (Within 6 Months) \xc2\xb7 Ability to work shift work is a must-days/evenings/nights as well as weekends Starting Wage $20.77 Pension and Health Benefit Program.
