Haztech is currently seeking an experienced Team Lead for a Firefighter/Emergency Response Team role in Ontario. This role is on remote industrial site (mine) in Ontario and the ERT\'s work 2/2 (week) rotations. Travel, accommodations, and meals are provided by Haztech. Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the Emergency Response Team
• Facilitate ongoing training and development for the ERT crew
• Develop and implement emergency response plans and procedures
• Utilize leadership skills and expertise in fire, rope rescue, confined space rescue, and medical emergencies
• Respond to all emergency calls and accidents on site
• Ensure that all emergency response equipment and supplies are well maintained
• Collaborate with the opposite rotation leader to ensure that all safety protocols and procedures are aligned.

All safety procedures must be followed strictly at all times and maintain a clean and orderly environment. The goal with this role is to optimize emergency response plans and procedures and succeed in producing reliable and important results that can be used to keep project personnel and the local community safe. The chosen individual will perform this diverse range of activities with a focus on safety, professionalism, and teamwork. Qualifications, Skills & Competencies

• NFPA 1041 Instructor preferred
• NFPA 1001 Level I and II
• NFPA 472
• Rope Rescue Technician
• Confined Space Technician
• First Responder, EMR or PCP designation
• Fully Vaccinated (due to upcoming Federal travel regulations)
• Swiftwater Rescue preferred
• Ice Rescue preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Self-motivated
• Criminal record clearance
• Class 4 drivers license, and clear drivers abstract
